Vc-211a Drives Para Mac

The Lives of Charles Douglas

is the story of a young fan of the Velvet Underground a little borderline mentally that maintains a correspondence with the legendary Moe Tucker and convinces her to produce his first album. The subject was published in 1997 in the general indifference and a few other albums just as the so-called confidential Charles Douglas began his career as a novelist. 13 years later, The Lives of Charles Douglas out of oblivion thanks to the persistence of the label Broken Horse Records and lovers rock lo-fi shocked to find that everything has much the appearance of a small classic. From the breathtaking Summertime it is clear that there is something special, Douglas showing a huge talent behind his melodic tunes slacker listened too disillusioned with Lou Reed ingesting questionable substances. This is neither the first nor the last album down and slices of life loser angry with society against a backdrop of minimalist indie rock, but the sincerity that emanates goes to the heart and its rejection of existing modes at the time of registration now plays in his favor, giving him a hand rather timeless. Sometimes there is justice in this world and has not found its way into record shops in the late 90s (when this kind of thing still existed), The Lives of Charles Douglas should not probably reach a much wider audience in 2010. That's all the evil that he wants.
