Some people find a vocation from childhood astronaut, veterinarian or Formula 1 driver. Others, quite rare indeed, are predestined to go on stage and burn the planks of their charisma pest. We never know what fairies leaned over the cradle of the small Deborah Dyer but the latter, better known under the pseudonym of Skin, could hardly have other jobs than full-time rockstar.
Look striking, beautiful voice, impressive stage presence, the beautiful singer Skin was perfect for training as Skunk Anansie and the English quartet enjoyed a runaway success in the mid 90s before splitting at the end of the decade. Followed two solo albums released by Skin in relative anonymity.

Unsurprisingly we assistât last year to a reformation Skunk Anansie, as other formations surfing on a revival early nineties (Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pavement ...). The band released its days a new album, Wonderlustre , which will not convince the usual refractory to their sound: the formula has not changed one iota, a mixture of soulful ballads and furious guitars. It must be admitted that the new securities are not really exciting, but it is an area where Skunk Anansie remains untouchable, it is that the live.
Whether playing before 30,000 people at Rock en Seine or 300 in New Casino two weeks later, the band displayed the same determination to put impress the audience. A generosity that is nice to see and makes it pale in comparison although the concerts of the competition. There is no secret, you're born rock star or you do not!
